This page explains what data we collect when you use Khidmi in Oman, why, who we share it with, and how you can exercise your rights.

Who we are
Khidmi is a platform that lists home-service providers in the the Sultanate of Oman and helps you request quotes from them. The operator shown at the bottom of this page is responsible for your data.
Data we collect
Data you give us: your name, mobile number, the service and area you need and your message when you send a request; account details (email and an encrypted password) if you create an account; business details if you register as a provider.
Technical data collected automatically: the page you sent the request from, advertising campaign identifiers (UTM, gclid) when present, and an encrypted fingerprint of your connection address (IP) used only to prevent abuse and spam. We do not store the address itself.
Cookies: we use strictly necessary cookies to sign you in and keep your session. We do not use advertising cookies without your consent.
Legal basis and how we use your data
We process your data on the basis of your consent, to carry out your request, for a legitimate interest, or to meet a legal obligation, in line with Royal Decree No. 6/2022 promulgating the Personal Data Protection Law. We use it to pass your request to the providers concerned and contact you about it, to run your account, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to improve the site and measure how its pages perform.
Who we share it with
Providers your request concerns or whom you contact through the site; technical service providers that run the site (hosting and databases); and the competent authorities where legally required. We do not sell your data.
Your data may be processed on servers outside Oman by our hosting providers; we apply the safeguards the law requires for such transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
Under the personal data protection law you may ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, obtain a copy, and withdraw your consent at any time. Send your request using the details on the Contact page and we will reply within a reasonable time.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, including password hashing, encrypted connections and restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy and will show the date of the latest update above. Continuing to use the site after an update means you are aware of the changes.
